 If you create a resource center for people to visit, not only will you attract clients and customers, but also you will attract the search engines as well.

This is important for being found on Google and yahoo, just to name a few.

To be sure that your site is always ranked as 
Use keywords in URLs for increasing traffic and expanding your search engine optimization. Do not choose URLs with numbers. If at all possible, use words.

This will increase the probability in your site being found quickly during a consumer's search.

The keywords in the URL should also be included on the site itself.


The most important thing to do is learn about what search engine optimization does and why it works.

There are several forms of media that can assist you with learning about search engine optimization.

Spend a few days learning about it and taking notes, and you will understand why it is important. Then make the necessary changes to your blog or site.


Use your strongest keywords in your site's name, in the sub-folders, and in the page names. This will help your site, as well as individual pages, rank more strongly.

Search engines will give relevant pages high rank, and you can link those pages to others in your site.

All of this strengthens your entire site and helps it to rank.Site maps can be the lynch pin in driving your rankings with the search engines.


Search engine spiders will be able to access your content much easier with a text based map of your site.


If it's a large website, it may have to have more than one site map. There should be a maximum of 100 links at most on every site map.



Choose your website colors wisely. Different colors put people into different moods. So if your website's color doesn't compliment your brand, then you may be creating dissonance in the mind of your viewer.


For instance, a brand selling suntan lotion would be smart not to choose a heavy, dark-hued background.


A lighter color, more in tune with the outdoors, will put those customers in a better frame of mind.


Don't use generic words in your key words list, like "computers" and "books". This will generate too many results and will most likely, not show your site at the top.


Instead, using more specific words and phrases like "buy cheap computers online," can be less competitive and be more effective for your site.



Use outside resources to track your rank. This may seem like a simple thing to do on your own, but your rankings on the search engines change constantly.


Using an outside resource usually means they will keep track of your rankings for a few hours or days, and report back to you where your average sits.




If you take the time to apply these tips to your search engine optimization plan, you are going to see some great results.

 No results happen overnight but these tips and advice are sure to help you get the results that your sites need a bit quicker than you would accomplish it otherwise.
